In 12 years of working on products, I've learned the hard part isn't the interface. It's diagnosing what's actually broken, and having the conviction to expand the problem before anyone's asked you to.

Lately, AI has taken on two roles for me: research partner when I'm chasing the why, engineering partner when I'm building the how. I think through tradeoffs like a PM, then prototype in front-end code before I've fully committed.

The question has never been "can we build this."

It's whether we understood the person on the other end well enough to earn their trust.
